We understand that the systemic nature of power and control that disadvantages women and girls including coercion and threats, emotional and economical abuse, intimidation and physical and sexual violence.  We believe in the importance of early intervention in communicating,   to the Children and Young People within our care,  the prevalence of  domestic violence and abuse whilst also working towards its elimination through awareness,  educational workshops,  and activism regardless of whether they have had 'lived experiences' themselves.

We primarily offer care and support services for young care leavers (16-18 years old) with low to complex needs. This includes young people with challenging behaviour, those with diagnosed or suspected ADHD conditions and other emotional or mental issues that have caused situations where a high needs care and support is needed. This also includes care and support for young ex-offenders and those with high-risk situations due to gang affiliation or grooming. where staff undergo continuous training and skills progression around  VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) issues  and is structured around the empowerment and development of Women and Young Girls.   â€‹

Our main approach to care and support is to initially identify current needs and create a new agreed care/support plan with measurable targets using our care management system (solariscareware.com) to deliver individualised care based on the assessed needs of our Young People. The bespoke care provided involves detailed plans to ensure safe accommodation and a pathway to a sustainable future and self -independence by supporting the development of skills and inherent ability. We aim to develop our Young People by instilling a culture of self -worth and future progression. Education /training remains a major target for our clients.

Floating support (18 -25-year-olds)

We are able to provide a step - down service where care leavers of adult age are able to receive continued support and accommodation in a bid to be fully independent and able to access services and entitlements themselves. This is available under the request of the commissioning local authorities who recognised the need for continuous support for individuals. Accommodation provided can be a house share provision or solo placement where staff visit and provide 5 hours or more support key work sessions to service users.

Emergency placements 16 -18 years of age

In situations where there is an urgent need for temporary or short-term care, we are able to organise accommodation and support. The placement may occur through breakdowns in care home placements, foster care arrangements or when a Young Person needs to be bailed from custody at the local police station. These types of placements may be required out of office hours which creates difficulties in housing immediately with most providers. The package also comes with a 'responsible adult' service where a member of staff will receive the Child or Young Person from custody or detention over an offence that has resulted in an arrest.
